Effective date: 13 October 2026. This policy describes how KasiBite handles personal information used to provide online food ordering, restaurant point-of-sale and delivery services in South Africa.
Depending on your role, this may include account name, email, phone number, delivery addresses, restaurant details, order history, support messages, partner application details, delivery location when enabled, and transaction reference numbers.
Information supports account authentication, order placement, payment confirmation, restaurant preparation, driver assignment, delivery tracking, service notifications, customer support, fraud prevention, audit and legal compliance.
Relevant order and contact details may be shared with the restaurant and assigned delivery partner to fulfil an order. Card payments are processed through Paystack. KasiBite does not need or store full customer card numbers or card security codes. Service providers may handle the data required to provide authentication, messaging, hosting and payment services.
Customers may choose to share a delivery pin. Delivery partners may use location while performing active deliveries. Location access and notifications depend on your device permissions and service role. You can manage app permissions in your device settings.
KasiBite uses authenticated role-based access and server-side controls. Personal information is retained for operational, fraud-prevention, dispute, tax, accounting and other lawful purposes only as long as appropriate for those purposes. Certain financial records may need retention after account closure.
You can request access to, correction of or deletion of eligible personal information using the app's Contact Us feature. Signed-in users can submit an account-deletion request from their profile or partner dashboard. If you no longer have the Android app, you can use the website instead.
Requests are reviewed; submitting a request does not immediately remove your account or override lawful record-retention requirements.
Use the Contact Us feature in KasiBite for privacy questions, data access requests and complaints. Do not submit payment passwords or card security codes. You may also exercise rights available under South African data-protection law.
This policy must be reviewed against the platform's actual processing activities and final operator contact details before public release.
